Jaco van Bosch was born on 7 January 1995 in Bloemfontein, South Africa. He moved to Johannesburg and completed his Honours degree (Motion Picture Medium) in 2017, majoring in Screenwriting and Directing at AFDA, The School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance. 

During his time in film school, he initially majored in Visual Effects and Sound design, but after co-directing a few film school short film projects in his 3rd year, he found his passion for directing and pursued it full time for his final year.

He co-founded Looped Pictures in 2017 on his first trip to the Cannes Film Festival in 2017, when he started his fist VLOG and posted it on the YouTube channel. The channel was later used to post his latest short films.

His 2017 Honours film, co-written with Mark Haines, was chosen as South Africa's official entry to the 2018 Student Academy Awards and was later available to stream on South African streaming service, Showmax.
Mark Haines was born on 8 September 1994 in Mahikeng, South Africa. He completed his Undergrad degree (Motion Picture Medium) in 2018, majoring in Editing where he graduated Cum Laude and on the Dean’s List. He also won the ‘Best Film Edit’ award that year. He is a multi-hyphenate filmmaker - a writer, director, editor, and colour grader.

He co-wrote Mallemeule, the first Looped Pictures short, with Jaco van Bosch, which was chosen as South Africa’s official entry to the 2018 Student Academy Awards, in the narrative category, and was later available to stream on South African streaming service, Showmax.

He has worked as a script supervisor on the NYU Student Oscar Award winning film, ‘Umama’. He co-founded Looped Pictures, and has written, directed, edited, and colour graded numerous short films, available on supp.film and the Looped Pictures YouTube channel. He also recently co-wrote the kykNET Storiefilm "'n Snuf in die Neus" with, Looped Pictures co-founder and CEO, Jaco van Bosch.
Co-founder, Kyllian Roux, has worked in the film industry since 2013 gaining many years of experience along the way. Born in Johannesburg and growing up in Eldorado Park for the early parts of his childhood, he soon found his love for cinema, living off 1970’s Kung Fu movies and Westerns.
In High School, he made short stop motion animation films for his peers to enjoy and would later study screenwriting and directing at AFDA. His achievements in college included winning best film two years running, being given the Ryan Douglas Poole Scholarship and graduating on the Dean’s list with honours in 2017.
He has worked in various countries including Nigeria, Canada and China and in 2018 he was made the official South African Ambassador for the Creative Mind Group based in California. In 2019 he produced with Jaco a short film that was screened at Cannes.
Since graduating he has worked with companies such as Nedbank, Standard Bank, SuperSport, Looking China, M-net, Lionsgate and many more in developing creative video content and short stories for various brands and corporate giants
Connor Weidemann was born on 1 September 1999 in Johannesburg South Africa. He completed his undergrad Degree in 2020 majoring in Editing and Camera Operating and won the award for best Cinematography. He completed his Post Graduate Honours Degree the following year graduating Cum Laude and on the Deans List as well as receiving several Awards and nominations for Editing and Directing.

His Graduation short film titled 'Delville Wood' for which he both Edited and Co-Directed, has been nominated for many awards both in South Africa and across the globe, and has been well received by local and international film festivals.

Recently, Connor has worked alongside several South African Sport streaming services as a Camera Operator, Vision Mixer and Director before joining the Looped Pictures team.
Kaylee Prentice completed her Honours degree from AFDA (Motion Picture Medium) in 2017, majoring in Producing where she graduated Cum Laude and was Honours Valedictorian.

Prior to joining the Looped Pictures team, Kaylee has done extensive work on various projects. Her credits include the feature film Rogue starring Megan Fox, the Showmax series Funny People Africa, Dstv Box Office's A White Christmas 2 and Laugh at First Sight, and the feature film Shaft 6 starring Vuyo Dabula.
Jackie Viljoen, or should we say Smartie. After meeting everyone on the set of her acting debut film, Vlamme (which is also where she get’s her nickname), she just couldn’t get enough of the Looped Pictures team and had to join them as they impact the film industry.

Jackie originally studied law and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in International Child Law, but her true passion is film and theatre.

Although she is currently only writing and acting, she aims to learn various crafts from her talented colleagues, grow as a filmmaker and let the light shine on the creative industry.
